What a gem. I was in the area on holiday (so was just wishing I would find someone that was trust worthy) and had a little bang, panel under car dropped, needed it looking at. Called Mart on the Fri later afternoon, took it in 1st thing Monday, he'd fixed it by lunchtime. What good luck I had finding a decent, honest and kind mechanic. He explained it all, had it done in no time, so reasonably priced. It's always worrying when you don't live in an area, wasn't sure how much it would be, if i'd find someone. A true gem, he will help if he can, as soon as he can and is honest and trust worthy, glad these types are still out there. Highly recommend, good luck to him

John has done work for me for ages now, started with replacing headlights, to services, repairs, additional items. I find that john has what other mechanics lack, the willingness to SOLVE the problem rather than patch or replace at my expense and hope it works. John solves every problem in his way and i would happily pay for his services than give anything to a main dealer! And the best bit, he has his own workshop but can still come to you, no more taxis back and forth from main stealers! Recommend John for all mechanic work, especially, dashcams! Only one mechanic ill trust or recommend and its this gentleman, even managed to find me a discount code for an item i was wanting for the van and saved me 700 quid!

Seriously excellent and I can’t thank the team here enough!! So I had to take my car in for an MOT and unaware to me at the time was that I had an issue with a component of the wheel and it therefore failed its MOT. I had absolutely no idea what this part was or what it did however the guy that I spoke with (Dom) explained it in a way that I fully understood what was required and why. Dom took the time to explain everything to me very patiently and what I liked was that he checked my understanding of what he was explaining - I really liked this as I felt his approach was very personable and made me feel comfortable, alleviating any fears I had about my car or the cost. With two young children I couldn’t be without my car and I truly felt that both Dom and also the Manager of the centre both went out of their way to source the part needed and get it fitted for me so that I could have my car back, safe & fixed, on the same day meaning that I didn’t have to try and arrange alternative arrangements for school/nursery runs and took all of the stress away from having my car in for repair. When I went to collect my car it was the centre manager who served me, again talking me through all work carried out, and then presenting me with payment options to suit my needs. He was a real pleasure to deal with and an absolute credit to Halfords. I previously had some work done on my car and was incredibly impressed with every interaction with the staff at this garage and have been recommending them to family, friends & colleagues since. It was because of this that I booked my car in for its MOT upon being due, as prior to this I’d used a different garage every year, and I was not disappointed whatsoever. Unfortunately in society today we’re too quick to share experiences when they’ve been negative but not so quick to shout out about positive and pleasurable service and that’s the reason for me leaving this. If even just one person reads this and decides to take their car to Halfords Garage then I’ll be happy as picking somewhere you can trust with something so instrumental in your life as your car can be stressful & daunting.
