Error code on the dashboard and a spanner icon never tell good news so knew the car needed plugging into a diagnostic machine. Usual chain super-garage had no diagnostician available and I panicked before remembering a friend recommend Crane Bank Garages. I called at 8.20am and Sarah was both pleasant and helpful. She spoke to the mechanics who agreed to take a look and 30 minutes later they had the car. Call just after lunch to confirm the diagnosis and plan of action, and agreed a price. Call at 16.15 from Sarah to confirm the work was completed and the car could be collected. Car happy (and cleaned - great little extra, thanks!), I'm happy, Crane Bank are happy they've got a happy customer and have been paid. All round happy, made even better when I was presented with a tin of (forgive the naming, for nostalgia) 'travel sweets' and away I drove. Great service (with that extra mile), friendly and knowledgeable staff. What more can you ask for? Won't be using the chain garage again!

Came to check out google reviews as I've used this garage for our cars now and again over the years. Shocked to see some poor 1 stars which must be dodgy or fake. I have never had a bad service or repair done at Peacock garage. They are always fully booked a week or more in advance and this is testament to the professionalism they exude. I called on Tuesday of this week as my alternator light was on. I'd called 2 other garages I also use who couldnt look at the car until Friday. Mandy spoke a little about what the issues might be. I'd said I knew they'd be busy but had called in case they might have had a last minute cancellation, she said we haven't but bring it down we can't promise anything but if we have a minute we will take a look. Fast forward to late afternoon, got the call to say it was the alternator, got given a quote and I said please order the parts and fix it when you can. Asked if that might be Wednesday (today) Dave said 'maybe.' Well, they decided to do some overtime and I got a call on Wednesday morning to say the car was ready. Absolutely first class service. Almost feel bad for them working late. But just so grateful to have the car back, thank you.

I usually avoid most garage chains, but in this case, I would highly recommend them. My partner's car is a bit dated, and we had issues with both the horn and CV gaiter. They managed to sort out the CV gaiter for an extra £20, which I thought was very reasonable. As for the horn, they got it working for the test. The whole team was extremely accommodating, and Tony, Stephen, and Ben were all exceptional.

I moved to Chester from Sunderland almost 4 years ago now and up until last week I’ve really struggled to find a decent shop for the jobs I can’t do. I’ve been messed around, overcharged god knows how many times to the point I almost just wrapped it in and done something else. That was until I met these guys. I’ve had some panels painted for a car I’m doing and until I found these I was getting stupid prices like £1300 plus vat for a bonnet, front bumper and side skirts. He was able to pop around as soon as he had finished the job he was working on and replace a couple of ignition coils and now it's running smoothly again. Very reasonable charges. Excellent Service and Professionalism! I had a fantastic experience with this garage when my car broke down. Their response was prompt, and they arrived quickly to assist with the recovery. By coincidence, a former employee happened to be nearby and generously helped me move the car off the road and unlock the steering wheel—well before the main recovery team even arrived.
