I've left it a long period of time before writing my review, purely because I have been stung by unscrupulous garages before and wanted to be absolutely sure about my opinion. I drive a 2007 E93 BMW, I love this car as you'll soon realise. Last year I switched jobs which changed my driving from motorway to urban London. Within 3 months, the damage was appearing. Breakdown after breakdown. Numerous issues, mainly with overheating, oil simply burning away etc etc. 5.. yes 5 local garages all had my car towed in for repair and diagnostics. None of them could resolve the issues. I've lost count of how many radiators, pipes, sensors etc etc were replaced. I'd had enough. I wanted to keep the car, and with the introduction of ULEZ, my compliant car was not going to Khan's ridiculous scrappage scheme and I could simply not afford a replacement. I needed to find somebody who had the knowledge and experience with BMW to resolve this once and for all. After extensive research, I stumbled across IAUTO in Croydon. Apparently a main dealer alternative. I booked in for diagnostics. From the get go, the professionalism shown by Shazil and Anoop was exemplary. I explained my issue's with the vehicle and my work commitments and nothing was a problem. My car was booked in for diagnostics and I was given the use of one of their very well kept courtesy cars whilst mine was being looked at. Within a day, I had a comprehensive list of work and parts required, and a cost. Yes, absolutely it was very expensive. I needed a new water pump, a new oil pump amongst other bits and pieces. I'm under absolutely no illusion as to how much original BMW parts cost so I certainly wasn't expecting a cheap fix up. It was certainly a dent in my finances, I weighed it up and decided to go ahead with the repairs. I do not regret it for a second. It has been nearly 8 months now since IAUTO first took on my challenge of finding the problems that 5 other garages couldn't, and curing my car, and my car is running well all this time. The cost of my repair did not change from original quote, there was no faffing about and addings on... all straight from day one. I had numerous encounters with the various mechanics that were tasked with working on my vehicle, every one of them, polite, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable. On one occasion my vehicle had to be parked a fair distance away as parking is an absolute premium in that area, I'm a lone female and absolutely not comfortable in Croydon on my own, one of the lovely mechanics walked with me and stayed with me until I was safely in my car and away. You don't get this sort of care at Kwikfit!! Overall, a very competent, honest and transparent garage. Actually a very rare find. I would 100% recommend. In fact I have since been back for brakes etc and again, a no fault experience and conscientiousness all the way.

Elton is a miracle worker!! Phenomenal work, unbelievable craftsmanship. 🙏🏻 🥳👍 I was absolutely gutted when a bus driver hit the back end of my Ford Tourneo Custom van. I’d not had it long and had been driving it so carefully, so when it ended up with a dint, gouged scratches and scraped scuff marks on the near side rear wheel arch I was really p*ssed off. Luckily a Google search of bodywork specialists pointed me towards Elton, and after dropping my van off in the morning I picked it up 6hrs later and it looked like new!! 🥳 He’s colour matched the paint perfectly and there are no signs that there was ever any damage at all! 🤯 I didn’t think a repair this good was even possible. It’s literally miraculous - you cannot tell anything was ever there! I’m so happy, especially as the price was incredibly reasonable as well! Elton is a fantastic bloke and his ability to make body work damage literally disappear made my jaw drop. And if you’re reading this, thank you again Elton 🙏🏻. As I told you at the time, I didn’t realise how depressed I’d been about the damage until you made it vanish and restored my van to its former glory! It looks as good as new and I couldn’t be happier 👍👍👍

Having read so many positive reviews, I'm pleased that my buying experience with Elmside was every bit as good as I was expecting. The car was presented nicely, I was given plenty of time to look around the vehicle, with no pressure, and all my questions were answered professionally and quickly. Once a deal was struck, the paperwork was done efficiently, and Amer even checked that the two keys were both working, as the car had been on the forecourt for a few weeks. He changed the battery on one fob, and checked, and double-checked, that all handbooks and history were passed to me. His thoroughness was impressive. After just ten days or so of ownership, the car wouldn't start, and (after much investigation) I replaced the battery. I emailed Amer who immediately agreed to reimburse the cost of the battery under the terms of the warranty. The money was transferred to my bank account. All in all, I'd definitely buy from Elmside again, and would recommend.

Not only were they really quick with the quote for repairs they also dealt with the other party’s insurance saving me time. They arranged a drop off date and time convenient for me and finished the repair way quicker than I could have anticipated! Both Chris and Caroline were so efficient and kind i couldn't of hoped for better service. To top it off my car was gleaming inside and out when I collected it !! Fabulous service from the whole team and would absolutely recommend them.
