Took my 25 year old Peugeot 206 with gear change issues, unsurprisingly it needed a new gearbox and clutch. Diagnosed quickly and was updated with phone calls and consulted before additional parts ordered, and costs were made clear to me throughout. Very pleased with clear communication and quick turnaround time. Labour, parts for new gear box and clutch came to just under a grand which considering the age of my car I felt was reasonable (no prior experience of this but I googled to see what average costs might be).

Not exactly local for me but worth the effort. If you have a Mercedes then you ought to give this place a try as they really know their stuff. I had an SL a few years back and brought it to these guys to check over after I first bought it, used. They found a number of serious faults and advised not to drive the car away. Instead, I contacted the selling garage and eventually persuaded them that they were responsible, etc. This time, I've bought an E class and booked it in for the same check over. This is done at a very reasonable charge and while you wait. Excellent value for peace of mind. Thankfully, they gave the car a clean bill of health apart from 1 tyre that had cords showing through a split in the tread. Knowing I was planning to drive to Germany in a couple of days time, they phoned around a number of stockists until they found one with the same, runflat tyre as was fitted. Along with all this, they downloaded the full service history from Mercedes, plus the VIN details, the stored faults and gave me the printouts. I can't praise them highly enough. A well run, 5 star, professional service. Thank you.

In dire straits with the work van, electrical issues out the wazoo. Was quoted £500.00 for a new ECU replacement at a different garage, but thought best for a second opinion. Got a major service and ZF8 gearbox service for my 125d by Autowerx. Ben the service manager was very knowledgeable and advised that the gearbox wasn’t needed to be done for another 10k miles (appreciated the honesty). However since my car has had few mods remapped both engine, gearbox, intercooler. I went all out as I wanted to feel the power, if there’s any difference? My curiosity paid off, car is so much more responsive now and lot more aggressive in pulling with the oil change. Ben did also recommend to reset the adaptation value of the gearbox, it has something to do with gearbox behaviour changes as the oil degrades. I’d recommend any BMW owners to use Autowerx for their vehicle maintenance these boy’s know what they’re doing
