In dire straits with the work van, electrical issues out the wazoo. Was quoted £500.00 for a new ECU replacement at a different garage, but thought best for a second opinion. Lucky I did and found Shawn @ MK Mechanics! Quickly identified sensor failures and a short in the circuit, parts replaced and fitted day after, obviously at a huge fraction of the cost of the original ECU quote. Van now drives like new. Top pro, best experience with a mechanic, couldn't recommend more.

Not exactly local for me but worth the effort. If you have a Mercedes then you ought to give this place a try as they really know their stuff. I had an SL a few years back and brought it to these guys to check over after I first bought it, used. They found a number of serious faults and advised not to drive the car away. Instead, I contacted the selling garage and eventually persuaded them that they were responsible, etc. This time, I've bought an E class and booked it in for the same check over. This is done at a very reasonable charge and while you wait. Excellent value for peace of mind. Thankfully, they gave the car a clean bill of health apart from 1 tyre that had cords showing through a split in the tread. Knowing I was planning to drive to Germany in a couple of days time, they phoned around a number of stockists until they found one with the same, runflat tyre as was fitted. Along with all this, they downloaded the full service history from Mercedes, plus the VIN details, the stored faults and gave me the printouts. I can't praise them highly enough. A well run, 5 star, professional service. Thank you.
