This might be the most honest, down-to-earth mechanic I've ever come across. And I haven't even had any work done yet! I called him up. Explained the situation that my check engine light had come on but the car is running fine, and he spent a good five minutes giving me suggestions and tips and tricks to sort it out myself before spending money on having diagnostics done. Turned up first thing without an appointment, as the car needed an emergency check on underside which was rattling after a nasty scrape, before I had to drive 300 miles back to Cornwall.
