David fixed my failed clock spring. Was a bit dearer than anticipated but he was able to fit me in at short notice as I had to get it done before going on holiday to Euro, which he did so actually took a big worry out. One small thing was the fabric dust-cover-shroud thing above the steering column that conceals the workings was not put back to how is was originally so looks a bit untidy when the steering wheel on lowest adjustment. No major but I'll just have to use a bit of adhesive or something to fix it back up. Overall happy with service provided and would be returning for anything else I need doing..

Just wanted to take the time to write a thorough review in case anyone is worried or not sure when choosing a new garage. Firstly, I trust this garage completely and will continue to use them for as long as they exist. I used to use this garage years ago and did so for for many years but naively started using a cheaper garage belonging to someone known through mutual acquaintances. I had the most negative experience with said other garage, lasting over 8 months, with my car left to rot for said amount of months and additional issues caused, totalling thousands of pounds. As such, I was unnerved and untrusting so went back to Stars to have some further issues rectified. The ladies on the front desk (can't remember names - I'm sorry) were so so lovely and remembered me from years ago. Dave, the mechanic, tolerated me ringing numerous times over the days it was in, explaining everything every step of the way. Everyone was so polite and lovely and made time for me and the job was done quickly despite it being squeezed in, between their super busy schedule, as it was going to initially be dropped off as a recovery job. Yes, it is a bit more expensive compared to some garages I've been to but you get what you pay for and I'd rather spend more money getting the job done correctly and professionally without the financial stress of rectifying other badly done work. I have nothing but praise for this garage. Absolutely lovely bunch of people.
