from 32 reviews on GoogleThey managed to fit me in on short notice, within the same week of first contacting them, when other garages were quoting me a waitlist of at least 2 weeks. This was following my car breaking down due to a hydraulic issue in the clutch system. They diagnosed the issue quickly and contacted me to authorise the repairs. The car was then fixed promptly and at a very reasonable price too. Definitely one of best local independent garages around, I highly recommend them and it will be my go-to garage from now on.
Low oil pressure light came on on my fiesta, took to Bristol Street Ford in Glos who charged £114 to diagnose the issue and then quoted over £2k for the work while also saying something else might be wrong with the vehicle so they would then have to charge more. Found Sheppard’s Auto Repairs on google and spoke with Laura on reception who was very helpful and quoted a reasonable price (over £700 cheaper than Ford). Then spoke with Nigel who clearly had a huge amount of knowledge and explained everything clearly and concisely. Booked the car in for a few days later due to the size of the job (10 hours of labour) and was kept informed throughout the whole process and given a realistic timescale of when to expect the vehicle back. Was also refreshingly honest around another potential issue as a result of the wet belt degrading (vacuum pump issue) but said that we wouldn’t know until driving the car for a while. Got the car back on Thursday, engine management light came back on the Sunday and I was able to drop the car off on Monday for them to diagnose again. Called back within a couple of hours advising the Vacuum Pump was lacking suction and needed to be replaced. Gave me the price for the oem Ford part and a cheaper alternative which was again very reasonable and the car was fixed by Tuesday evening. The whole team at Sheppards were friendly and helpful, the communication at all times was fantastic and the price for everything was very reasonable and hundreds, maybe even £1k, cheaper than Bristol Street who have been absolutely shocking throughout this whole situation. It’s refreshing to find a garage who genuinely care about the customer and want to get your vehicle sorted without ripping you off. I’ll be using Sheppard’s for all future work on my vehicle from now on. Thanks again!
Have used this garage on 2 occasions and found them to be excellent both times. Very good customer service - friendly, local garage, with good rates and an honest service. Can't ask much more than that!
Gentleman here took a look at my MG3 wiper arm within minutes of us ringing up and within a minute it was fixed. Fantastic service. Highly recommended!
Highly recommended, very reasonably priced and excellent service from Nigel. Bought my Focus ST from Bristol Street Fraud and under their extended warrantee plan and had 3 major repairs taken out by them, every single repair resulted in the car being returned to have faults/damage caused by shoddy workmanship rectified, the last time I was without my car for 3 weeks. Used Sheppard Auto Repairs for the first time for major service work and was not only impressed with the communication from Nigel but also the service, professionalism and price for work undertaken. Cannot recommend highly enough.
