from 153 reviews on GoogleHaving recently bought an old Mercedes clk 200ks convertible, Matt and his colleague Dan really have supported me and looked after pre my purchase with some advice and after my purchase, sadly the roof failed and she needed a huge service. They squeezed me in fixed the roof ( Pete had been working on clks for years is a wiz apparently and this is true !! ) and managed to get her into a better place, and driving so much better. I would recommend these guys to anyone with an older Mercedes. Thanks again for you help and support, all the best Matt.
I used MBS after my poor, old, e39 M5 decided to break while out for a drive. I has not used MBS before, and as the BMW specialist near Exeter couldn't fit me in at such short notice, the recovery driver suggested that he could contact MBS as he knew them and recommended them highly. After a quick call, to my delight he said that they could fit me in the next day! I am a car enthusiast and I am very nervous about taking my pride and joy to a new garage that I have no experience with. After my first conversation with them, my worries had gone and they filled me with confidence. They were extremely knowledgeable friendly and understanding. I explained the history behind the car, and they explained the fault found and the realistic options they had to repair it, along with a worst and best case scenario, including prices. This was not an expected breakdown and it was just before Christmas, so not financially ideal.. MBS managed to repair the suspension by using the skills of their technician rather than simply bolting on new parts and costing me more. Ideal. They also put the car through its MOT while it was with them. It did fail on a few things, being a 20 year old performance car this was to be expected. They updated me at every stage and got the old girl upto a much better standard. The car has never driven better since being with them. I am extremely impressed with their work and whole attitude. Some main dealers and specialists can be rather dismissive and seem to treat their customers like robots, with no actual care or understanding. MBS really did come across different, a joy to deal with. Not at all judgemental. When I collected the car, they asked if I'd like to speak with the technician who worked on the car. This was a nice touch, he explained everything in layman's terms and really seemed to know his stuff. I could ask him about the cars condition in general and it was nice for them to give you that time and this added to the personal touch. If you're like me and you treat your car with care and are looking for a safe, honest and knowledgeable German car specialist to look after your pride and joy, then give these guys a try. Best garage that I have used, without question. I hate feeling like I'm being billed for work that wasn't required, or that they're simply not going to look after my car and understand how much it means to me. This garage didn't make me feel any of these things. They aren't exactly 'cheap' but nowhere near main dealer prices, and I genuinely believe these guys are far better, especially on the older cars. I'd rather pay for the quality, rather than chance it with another garage without this level of specialist knowledge. Great work MBS, thank you for the work in my M5 and I'll be singing your praises to anyone looking for a great, German car specialist.
Super helpful and friendly. Love that the staff are so knowledgeable Been going there for years with all my cars and that they’re in safe hands 4 stars because paper floor mats aren’t used in the footwell
