Any other issues are dealt with before the car leaves the workshop. He once said that he couldn't sleep at night knowing something was wrong with a car. You can't get better than that!
Brilliant work prepping my VW T4 for a trip across France and into Switzerland. Julian really knows his T4's and did a clutch change, cam belt / water pump and rear suspension rebuild. As a result 2000 miles covered without any problem. Great engineer who works carefully and thoroughly. All our family cars now go to JC as you know the job will be done right.
We go nowhere else. Julian is a superb engineer/ mechanic and provides a brilliant service. He will tell you what needs doing and you know if he has raised an issue with you, that it needs sorting, but leaves the decision to you. 5 stars.

The diligence of; the communication, workmanship, and knowledge shows that you are dealing with someone who is a truly skilled professional expert in his field, with a wealth of lifetime experience. There is complete transparency in communication on the committed work being executed. Julian will always explain all necessary jobs that must be done, as well as advise on the overall state of the car's health and give guidance of other potential jobs that can wait. Therefore, it gives me peace of mind knowing that my cars are being inspected thoroughly by a highly skilled professional, and after ... are in their best fit road state for my family and I. If your car is found to need more work than envisaged, then for any new findings/parts they would ALWAYS call and explain what needs doing, give a quote over the phone and ask for your agreement before carrying out any work. Overall, the service is friendly and very informative. I feel well looked after, and in safe hands. I can't recommend them enough as the BEST trusted advisors for my family cars. Amazing service and price.
I have been taking mine and my husbands car to JC Road &Race since 2020 and they have done all the work required to be safe on the road and pass the MOT including getting the MOT done. Appointments are easy to book and then you just need to drop off your car. If the car needs new parts they would always call and explain what needs doing, give a quote over the phone and ask for your agreement before carrying out the work, this is amazing service. The transparency, communication and only doing the jobs that are necessary without overcharging deserve more then 5 stars.
