from 100 reviews on GoogleGMS have just diagnosed and repaired my R56 JCW mini, sadly it was a turbo failure. Great service and communication though out, I would highly recommend GMS to anyone! A more detailed review below for those that want to know a little more about the personal experience. Following diagnostics, upon removal of the turbo Jordan could see the previous garage had damaged the turbo fixing and bodged a repair on the quiet, you can see this from the photos! This unfortunately meant the turbo could now not be refurbished. So, I took the opportunity to upgrade to a Stage 2 turbo and have a decat fitted whilst having the repair done. The car is a pocket rocket now and sounds amazing! Jordan recommended renewing some additional rubber gaskets whilst the engine was easily accessible, as a preventative measure. I’m glad he did, as the heat exchanger gasket and others were like plastic and would have soon leaked. He also noticed the water pump had a small weep, I known failure point on these cars – so watch out! He recommended to change it now, should I want to. Else it could be done later; however, it would cost more in labour delaying it as its difficult to get to. New water pump and coolant flush it was then! Next on the agenda was the air conditioning. Whilst the car was in front end service more for the turbo repair, Jordan showed me how the condenser was bowed and split, which was the cause of the leak. A new condenser was fitted, and the system recharged whilst the car was apart, saving me further on labour time. So, in all the mini has been repaired and future proofed for a long time to come all in one hit! I have been using Jordan for years, prior to GMS. You get main dealer knowledge and experience, without the usual high cost. Great communication all the way through, recommendation of any other items which may be noticed whilst there. Note I said recommendation, not like some places where the work is carried out without permission first. Its his attention to detail and care with your car is what I like most. No risk of your car being bodged or damaged due to a rushed job and or neglect. Perfect for those with cherished motors! I was even treated to a cup of tea whilst I visited to see the issues present, what else could you ask for!
GMS is an excellent garage. Originally went in for a timing belt but while it was in they suggested to get my breaks done as they were in bad condition. They had them all sorted by the next morning. A couple weeks later my handbrake went, ended up being just a clip and sorted it free of charge. Amazing customer service and would highly recommended.
Jordan was great at helping me with a new tyre and fixing a complicated problem! He was professional, friendly and really helpful. Would 100% recommend.
Exactly as others have said 5 star service! Jordan & his colleague couldn’t have been more helpful-above & beyond customer service, staying late to get my brakes fixed & the car back on the road, after being forced to stop at the services. A swift diagnosis & a clear explanation of the problem followed by a super fast turn around to repair & rebuild the brake shoes all done for a very fair price & without any notice. Problem sorted. Highly recommended 🤩🙏
Jordan was really helpful and quick at getting my Audi water pump replaced. He explained everything very clearly and did the work for a very good price. Highly recommend him.
