I honestly couldn't say enough good things about this garage and the mechanics there. I just bought a car earlier today (Kia Picanto) 120 mile journey back to Dundee, many miles from home, gear stick started seizing up, was having real trouble selecting any gear. Engine was clattering and was having difficulty engaging clutch. Drove to Alistair Leith motors as I had seen them working late many times when I was in the area. They were clearly snowed under with work, yet came out and had a look at the car when I told them my predicament (this is after six at night too!) They identified the problems, set to work and even filled me up with oil. They've even agreed for me to come back Monday to see them to see how the car is fairing, and check over things once again. These guys are clearly passionate about cars, and certainly know their stuff. I literally had to put money in their hand too. I can easily see why they're snowed under. Really dug me out of a hole, just a couple of great lads, I'll not use anyone else now.
Came across John today by chance while having to replace one of my headlight's bulb on my Mini. He does not work on Saturday but was working on his own car. He managed to help change the headlight bulb with no hassle and also spent time to get to know each other. John seems such an honest and genuine person. I will be back for the annual service! I have been taking cars to this garage and no other for 20 years or more. It's a matter of trust. Maybe not the cheapest, but simply the best. I don't expect my current car, with 230,000 miles on the clock and going strong, would have made it without them.
Our family has used this firm for decades . Service second to none price always fair but the quality of work excellent . If you can get them , If you can find them , use the A leith team . Thankyou for all the great work Mark .
