After struggling to find a workshop that could provide me with a courtesy car, I discovered Fixter. No need for a courtesy car as my vehicle was collected and returned the same day with all the work completed. Ive used Fixter twice in the last few weeks. First time, they replaced my timing belt and water pump and were the cheapest quote by £100. Then for an MOT on my daughters car. Both times the cars were picked up and returned safely at the agreed time, which is well worth a £5 tip in my view. I was kept informed during the day and am more than happy with the quality of the work. Would definitely use again.

A guy collected my car…

The guy collected my car around 10.30 (slightly later than expected but traffic was heavy). Was told it maybe closer to 7pm when it would return.(Despite being texted earlier in day saying it would before.) By 8pm there was no sign and no one to get in touch with!! Panic started rising. Had I been had or something similar? At 9pm the door bell went - expecting the worst, I was surprised to find the guy from earlier looking for somewhere to put car keys. Relief!! Driver apologised over the lateness blaming too much work. At least the car had its service and passed its MOT. So we're good to go.... 👍🏻 But next time a phone call would be appreciated be if you're going to be late!

I was slightly annoyed that they let me book an appointment for 2 days time, then immediately cancelled and offered a booking in 3 weeks. However, this was over the Xmas period and better than other local garages. One the actually day I was really happy with their communication and customer service. I will definitely be using again and recommending. I loved the clear pricing structure

Inspect the radiator and ancillaries for leaks.
Run a pressure test on the cooling system.
If necessary, replace the radiator.
Advise if any other parts ought to be replaced.
Refill the cooling system with engine coolant.
Run the engine and, if necessary, test drive the car (check for leaks again).
