What a great garage. Somewhat panicked, after another garage booked me in only later to tell me they didn’t have the tools to fix my car (a coolant haemorrhage due to a failed water pump), I’m so glad I found Stepping Hill Garage who not only fixed my car (water pump + new timing belt), and verified there were no other leaks, but did an excellent full service too. The car now runs better than ever, and that's after an overheating event. Before I decided to call Stepping Hill Garage, I checked their reviews and was struck by how laudatory they were (many commenting on the good and honest character of the garage owner/mechanic, which was extremely reassuring) and, after seeing photos on their Facebook page of people entrusting them with their extremely expensive cars, I thought I should give them a go. Reviews can sometimes be too good to be true – I’ve certainly been caught short before now – but Dave and Stepping Hill Garage certainly lived up to every good word people had to say about them. Excellent service, kind and reassuring, and reasonably priced – this will now be my go to garage for both mine and my wife’s car. Easy and cheap to get taxis too (if you need them), as the garage is right next to the hospital which is swarming with them.
