The owner of the garage is very knowledgeable about the marque and we felt comfortable leaving our car with them to be repaired, having also been recommended to us by friends. The garage could quite easily just say 'it needs this' and 'it needs that' and as such the bill could escalate very quickly - which for any car owner can be very terrifying. However, we were kept informed at every stage with the emphasis put on repairing the car and utilising the undamaged parts as opposed to just going straight in and replacing everything. The garage looked into lesser problems first that could have been causing the car to fail and worked their way up until the exact cause was found and what repair was needed. We were kept informed with the garage sending photo's of the problem with our car and what would be needed in order to fix it. The car isn't an 'old' car, it is a performance show car, which is very well looked after - an unabused 2016 model which had only covered 26k miles. You would never expect the damage that occurred on such a car but a piston had failed, sending sheered off parts into the engine. Luckily the piston failing hadn't caused the catastrophic damage to the engine that it could have done and as such kept it the bill down. We wouldn't hesitate to use this garage again but hopefully we won't need to!
Got my 7 year old Hyundai MOT'd here. The car is of an age where some problem could have been found, but the car passed with a slight advisory. Friendly service, would definitely return.

Went for MOT on my Fiesta ST. Fantastic service and work from the guys at Thompsons. Great family. All clearly know what the are doing as well as caring about their work & the customer. Will be back again soon to have some performance work done. Can't recommend enough.
