from 190 reviews on GoogleCan't remember the dude's name (Darren?) he was just awesome back in October, we were stranded with two dogs in a strange town, he did all he could to help us and in the end we got our vehicle sorted the same day. Also , we had to be towed from Skipton, so on the way we learned a lot about Yorkshire - thankyou!! Then whilst waiting for 'emergency' vehicle repair my MRS sprained her foot very badly (on the street/footpath). All the staff at the office were very kind as there was a wait of a few hours for our vehicle to be repaired. Thankyou for your kindsness and patience for the five hours of my MRS sitting there until the vehicle was fixed. xx
Breakdown Review: This was my first breakdown ever driving. Now despite knowing that is is something really small (coil pack in the engine) it’s a relief. Speed: The bloke only took 30 mins to get to my car which was local to the garage. Probably 5 miles down the road. This bloke was really quick and when he arrived, due to the detail and my little knowledge of cars he did state that I sounded like I knew the problem. Essential the computer give us an error code stating there was a coil misfiring. The breakdown chap got in on the back of his truck in a matter of minutes. The driver/hero: I didn’t manage to grabs this chaps name however I was worried that in the cab due to the 1 hour journey back home that the chat would be a slight boring. However this chap was really knowledgeable about his job and I quickly found out that we had the same motorbike. Therefore the chat was flowing all the way back home. He was really sound and really funny. Defiantly an old timer in the job (sorry if he reads this) but he was professional and funny. Top bloke. Error code: When returning home the breakdown bloke put it on his machine. This machine was very quick and scanned the car efficiently. It produced a QR code where I could scan it on my phone and then it created a report of what the machine reads. This was great as I could tell my local mechanic what the ready was. This report you could keep and made it far easy to see the issue. Overall: The service was great. Of note my breakdown cover picks the nearest garage therefore I could not be happier that this garage picked up the job.
After having very bad luck buying a car privately and a previous garage not fixing my car properly, Ladyroyd spent a morning with the car and identified the problems. Darren (sorry if I got the name wrong) was extremely helpful sourcing the parts needed for the best prices and talked through the invoice when picking it up. Car was with them a day and half as alot of work needed doing and the noises I heard and problems i had beforehand seem to be gone so fingers crossed my lucks finally changing with this car. Would recommend this garage, the prices seem fair, they communicate well and the staff are helpful and friendly.
I used the recovery service recently and it took just 20 minutes from the call to the breakdown company to then send to a local recovery service. Absolutely brilliant service and Phil the driver was amazing. I would highly recommend them.
Steve the legend is a one man team, helped me and my dad with his car. Car was in an awkward postion but Steve managed to sort it. Funny lad cracked jokes even in the heavy pouring rain. Nothing fazes Steve. From me and my dad, Steve buddy, you're an absolute legend. 💯. Grateful for your help! Please pass our gratitude to Steve.
