We are a vehicle recovery company (Hus Tow Recovery & Transportation), we get calls from all over the uk for vehicles to be transported to this garage for work. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a specialist to work on their classic car, look no further.
Friendly, knowledgable team. I was almost put off by the website which focuses on older cars than mine (my car is from the 80s) but having spoken to them on the phone I went to see them and am glad I did, not just because of the interesting array of cars they were working on. They were really helpful, showing relevant examples to my problem and they made space on ramps to give the car a good look over. The whole experience filled me with confidence and I have happily recommended them to others.
Based on recommendations and lack of manufacturer support, I asked Hawk Classics to design, manufacture and fit some custom items to my John Cooper Works Mini. The design work was deeply considered and detailed. The manufacturing was better than factory production, the fitting and completion was impeccable. Communication was constant, even to the point of periodic invitations to see and feed back on design options. As a customer I felt confident in the team really working hard to draw out of me what I actually wanted after I was pretty vague to begin with; I was massively impressed by the care they took in every step of the journey to completion and I felt treated like one of the family in the way they worked with me. I have zero mechanical knowledge or experience and yet they didn't make me feel lacking in any way. The workmanship was first class. Being a rare model, I have had the opportunity to actually show my car at a couple of major events recently and thus had experts crawl all over it in detail. All feedback on the work Tony and Co did has had a lot of praise and acknowledgement. For me as the amateur, that's been great to hear. Would I recommend them? I already have, many times. Would I use them again? There is nowhere else I would rather go. Why? Because I really felt they cared and nothing was too much trouble.
